P NATION Addresses Controversy Over Baby DONT Cry's Debut MV Teaser
The group Baby DONT Cry has addressed the controversy surrounding the sexualization of teenagers.

On the 23rd, P NATION released a statement regarding the provocative metaphors and direction in the teaser video for Baby DONT Cry's debut single 'F Girl'. "We acknowledge the concerns and controversy raised by some fans and the public regarding the music video teaser for the debut title track 'F Girl'. We sincerely apologize to those who felt discomfort or concern due to the video," the agency stated.

The agency explained, "The title track 'F Girl' conveys a message of breaking away from standards set by others, such as grades (A-F), and asking to be seen and understood as they are. The first scene of the 'F Girl' music video Teaser1, which depicts 'chewing gum' and 'holding candy', was intended to create a rebellious yet playful setting. The overall flow and content of the music video to be released do not include any provocative or suggestive direction."

They continued, "Regardless of the reasons, to prevent misunderstandings and controversy in advance, we have decided to delete the controversial scene from the main music video. This decision was made to protect the members of Baby DONT Cry and to respect the valuable opinions of the fans."

Regarding the use of 'cherry' as Baby DONT Cry's symbol, the agency explained, "The image of the members aligns with the small but vibrant color of cherries, which is why we chose it as the group's symbol. Cherries are used positively in various global brands and content, and at no point in our planning process was any negative meaning or association with cherries considered or intended."

Baby DONT Cry is a four-member girl group launched by P NATION, led by singer Psy, consisting of members Hyun, Kumi, Mia, and Benny. They are set to officially debut soon. The 'F Girl' music video teaser, released on the 20th, featured scenes such as candy packaging resembling contraceptives, cherry symbols that could be interpreted sexually, and a rug similar to feminine products with bright red cherry juice spilling, sparking controversy over its suggestiveness. The issue was further amplified as the members were born between 2006 and 2008, making them minors.
