Former K-pop Stars Ju Haknyeon and Taeil Face Controversies and Legal Challenges

Ju Haknyeon, formerly of THE BOYZ, was involved in a scandal after being seen with former AV actress Asuka Kirara at a private bar in Roppongi, Tokyo, in late May. Reports suggest that there were indications of prostitution, as Ju allegedly gave money to the woman. His agency announced his suspension on the 16th and confirmed his departure and contract termination on the 18th.
THE BOYZ, who had recently moved to One Hundred in December to mark a new chapter after their 7th anniversary, faced turmoil due to Ju's controversy. On the 18th, the group, excluding member Sangyeon who is serving in the military, posted a heartfelt message to fans, apologizing and offering comfort.

Meanwhile, former NCT member Taeil (real name Moon Taeil) was indicted without detention for allegedly sexually assaulting an intoxicated foreign woman with two accomplices in Itaewon, Seoul, last June. During the first trial on the 18th, prosecutors sought a seven-year prison sentence, citing attempts to conceal the crime and destroy evidence.

While Ju Haknyeon and Taeil are individually responsible for their actions, the repercussions have been felt by their respective groups and fans. In the world of idol groups, where trust is paramount, such controversies can have a devastating impact on the entire team, leaving the remaining members to bear the burden.
