YG Entertainment Unveils First Trainee for New Girl Group, Captivating Global Fans

On the 28th, YG Entertainment revealed a video titled 'YG NEXT MONSTER' on their official blog, featuring trainee Evelli performing 'Nosebleeds' by Doechii. This video, which showcases the monthly evaluations without any embellishments, introduces Evelli, an Australian trainee, who is the first to be unveiled. She chose Doechii's 'Nosebleeds' to highlight YG's signature hip-hop identity.

YG commented, "Her stage presence is remarkably mature for a 15-year-old. Her confident attitude exudes hip-hop swag, and her stylish gestures and expressive performance enhance the immersion." They further praised Evelli as an 'all-rounder' artist, highlighting her impressive vocal and rap skills, as well as her proficiency in Korean, English, and Spanish.
Previously, YG announced that the upcoming girl group would consist of four members, with plans to introduce each member sequentially. Following the success of BLACKPINK and BABYMONSTER, Evelli is the first member of the new group to be revealed.
Notably, YG's executive producer Yang Hyun-suk personally encouraged fans to evaluate the members based on their raw talent and performance. With Evelli making a strong impression as the first member, anticipation and curiosity about the remaining members are expected to grow.
