IU Releases Remake Album 'KkotGalpi 3' Featuring 'Never Ending Story'

South Korean singer IU is set to release her highly anticipated remake album 'Kkot-Galpi 3'.

On the 27th at 6 PM KST, IU will unveil 'Kkot-Galpi 3' across various music streaming platforms. This album marks the first release in the 'Kkot-Galpi' series in approximately eight years since 'Kkot-Galpi 2' in 2017, and it is her first album in about a year and three months since her mini-album 'The Winning' in February last year.

The album features a total of six tracks, including the title track 'Never Ending Story', 'Red Shoes', 'October 4th', 'Last Scene (Feat. Wonstein)', 'Beauty (Feat. Balming Tiger)', and 'Dream of a Square'.

The title track 'Never Ending Story' is a remake of a song originally released by the band Boohwal in 2002, written and composed by Kim Tae-won and originally sung by Lee Seung-chul. The new arrangement is by Seo Dong-hwan, who previously collaborated with IU on 'Love wins all'.

'Last Scene' features Wonstein, with arrangement contributions from Sumin and Slom. The original composer, Lee Sang-soon of Roller Coaster, participated with guitar performance. 'Beauty' is a song by Shin Joong-hyun, with Balming Tiger handling the arrangement and member Sogumm contributing to the outro's lyrics and composition.

The album also includes contributions from artists such as Lee Jin-ah, Cloud, Koo Young-jun, Je-hwi, and flexindoor.

The music video for 'Never Ending Story' pays homage to the film 'Christmas in August'. It was produced with official permission from distributor Sidus and director Hur Jin-ho, with direction by Lee Rae-kyung and featuring actor Heo Nam-joon.

IU's remake album 'Kkot-Galpi 3' and the music video for the title track will be available from 6 PM KST on the 27th through music streaming sites and IU's official YouTube channel.
