RIIZE Aims to Make 2025 Unforgettable with Debut Album 'ODYSSEY'
The group RIIZE expressed this sentiment during the showcase for their first full-length album 'ODYSSEY' held at the Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 19th.
The title track of their debut album, 'Fly Up,' is a dance song reminiscent of the 1950s Rock and Roll style, blending energetic rhythms with a grand choir.
The lyrics depict the six members connecting with a wider world through music and dance, breaking down barriers and enjoying life together. This reflects the new growth momentum RIIZE has gained from their global activities since debuting.
Sungchan mentioned, "The performance is structured like a musical, so there's a lot to see. Each member has their own standout moves, so your eyes will be busy. There are many moves that involve jumping or seem like we're flying into the sky. One of our signature poses, pointing to the sky as if we're rising, is included in the choreography, so please watch for it."
Sohee responded, "We found out later that Yoon Sang participated, and we were really surprised." Anton added, "I was surprised too when I first heard my dad would be involved. I often communicate with him, so I heard it in advance. Personally, I'm curious about what the members think of this track."
Finally, when asked to create an acrostic poem with the title track 'Fly Up' and RIIZE, Sungchan quickly responded, "'Fly Up' and 'RIIZE,' let's 'up, up, up' and soar." Eunseok followed with an acrostic for RIIZE, "'RIIZE,' this album is really good," eliciting laughter.
