IU Set to Release Third Remake Album 'Kkot-Galpi 3'

South Korean singer IU is making a comeback with her third remake album, 'Kkot-Galpi 3'.

On the 15th, IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced that the album will be released on the 27th at 6 PM.

'Kkot-Galpi 3' is the third installment in IU's remake project series, where she reinterprets classic songs with her unique voice and emotion. This marks her return after approximately 15 months since her last mini-album, 'The Winning', released in February last year. Previously, IU released 'Kkot-Galpi' in 2014 and 'Kkot-Galpi 2' in 2017, continuing the series after an 8-year hiatus.

The album cover image evokes a warm, analog feel reminiscent of faded film photos. In the image, IU is seen leaning against an old public phone, gazing into the camera, stirring nostalgia with its vintage atmosphere.

Through the 'Kkot-Galpi' series, IU has been praised for her ability to maintain the charm of original songs while adding her own color, with tracks like 'Autumn Morning', 'The Meaning of You', and 'Sleepless Rainy Night'. Anticipation is high for which songs she will reinterpret in 'Kkot-Galpi 3'.

IU continues to be active in both music and acting. Last year, she held a solo concert at Sangam World Cup Stadium. Recently, she impressed audiences with her dual role in the Netflix global hit 'You Have Done Well'.
