UNIS Makes Waves Globally with New Mini Album 'SWICY'

UNIS is making a strong global impact with their latest release.

The group UNIS, consisting of members Jin Hyun-joo, Nana, Jelly Danka, Kotoko, Bang Yoon-ha, Elisia, Oh Yoon-ah, and Lim Seo-won, has achieved significant success on major music charts worldwide with their second mini-album 'SWICY', released on the 15th.

The mini-album 'SWICY' topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in the Philippines and Turkey. Additionally, it has charted in 12 countries, including Norway, Luxembourg, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Japan, Qatar, Canada, and Hong Kong, signaling a promising global reception.

The domestic response has been equally enthusiastic. The title track 'SWICY' debuted at number 62 on Melon's Hot 100 and reached number 3 on Bugs' real-time chart. Furthermore, all tracks from the album, including 'What Are You Doing?', 'DDANG!', 'Good Feeling', and 'Spring Rain', have entered Bugs' real-time chart, showcasing their strong presence in the music scene.

The mini-album 'SWICY' is a portmanteau of 'Sweet' and 'Spicy', inspired by the global trend of K-food, which combines sweet and spicy flavors. This term has gained traction in various fields such as beauty and fashion.

UNIS is set to actively promote the title track 'SWICY' through music shows, radio, variety programs, and YouTube. Following their comeback activities, they plan to expand their reach with their first Asian tour.
