NewJeans' Hani Expresses Frustration Amidst Legal Battle with ADOR and HYBE
On November 7, Hani took to her official Instagram story to express her frustration, stating, "I remember everything clearly. I wanted to speak up in court earlier but held back," and pleaded, "Please stop harassing me, ADOR and HYBE."
Hani further elaborated in a lengthy post in English, reiterating that she had much to say but chose to remain silent.
Earlier that day, the 50th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court held a hearing regarding ADOR's injunction against NewJeans, which sought to prevent the group from signing with another agency and entering into advertising contracts.
During the hearing, ADOR presented a video to counter claims that Hani had been told to "ignore" by a member of a HYBE-affiliated girl group. In response, Hani took to her social media to assert, "I remember everything from that situation," indicating her sense of injustice.
Meanwhile, NewJeans announced their termination of the exclusive contract with ADOR during an emergency press conference last November and have since pursued an independent path. They concluded their previous commitments with ADOR in January and introduced their new team name, NJZ.
