BLACKPINK's Lisa Opens Up About Her Journey as a CEO and Global Star

Lisa from BLACKPINK recently shared her experiences as a CEO and global star on the YouTube channel 'Jipdaeseong' on the 28th.

During the episode, Daesung introduced Lisa, emphasizing that they had never met outside of work, unlike his acquaintance with Rosé. Lisa made a grand entrance, dancing and exuding confidence, saying, "I came from Thailand today. I'm a global star, you know." Daesung humorously remarked, "You've grown a lot, haven't you?" bringing laughter to the set.

Lisa discussed her collaboration with American rapper Doja Cat and British singer Raye on her new track 'Born Again.' She expressed her satisfaction with her first full album 'Alter Ego,' saying, "I've been telling everyone I want to collaborate here and there."

As a global star, Lisa admitted, "I can't speak English as well as Korean. I think in Korean first and then translate when doing English interviews," showcasing her 15 years of living in Korea.

Reflecting on her past experience filming the variety show 'Real Men' for five days, Lisa recalled, "I held my breath during the gas chamber training. It was so hot, and the fruit punch was delicious. I cried when I received a letter from Jisoo. It was so shocking that I still remember it."

Having established her own agency 'LLOUD,' Lisa shared, "It's fun doing it alone, but there are challenging parts too. Music videos are so expensive, and I always ask for discounts," revealing her CEO side.

Daesung empathized, saying, "Both we and BLACKPINK have a certain scale from our YG days. Isn't the music style like that too?" Lisa agreed, "The budget always exceeds expectations because we want to meet the anticipation."

Lisa mentioned that she still exchanges messages and supports Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé. "When I'm working alone, it's lonely because I'm the only one on set. I always have to play music. When the four of us were together, there was no time for that. I want to talk, so I need to meet them soon," she said.

When asked about BLACKPINK's plans for their 10th anniversary next year, Lisa replied, "First, we have the BLACKPINK world tour this year, so we need to finish that before thinking about anything else."
