G-Dragon and aespa's Karina Channel 'La La Land' in New Music Video for 'TOO BAD'

G-Dragon and aespa's Karina have brought a 'La La Land'-esque dance party to life in the music video for G-Dragon's latest release.

On October 25th at 2 PM KST, G-Dragon unveiled his third studio album, 'Übermensch', across global music platforms. The title track, 'TOO BAD', features singer-songwriter, rapper, and drummer Anderson. Paak, adding a funky and jazzy vibe to G-Dragon's signature sound.

The track 'TOO BAD' combines a minimal yet vibrant beat with Anderson .Paak's distinctive voice and G-Dragon's murmuring rap, creating a unique synergy.

A highlight of the music video is the appearance of Karina. The collaboration between G-Dragon, a leading artist from YG Entertainment, and Karina from SM Entertainment's top girl group aespa, has heightened anticipation among K-pop fans.

In the video, G-Dragon and Karina perform a couple's dance reminiscent of the protagonists in 'La La Land'. Their exploratory and fluid movements create a dreamy atmosphere filled with tension.

Reflecting the song's theme of the enigmatic nature of attraction, G-Dragon and Karina's dance scenes symbolize the elusive emotional battle between two people.

Prior to Karina, G-Dragon featured BLACKPINK's Jennie in his solo music video. In the 2012 release 'That XX', Jennie portrayed a woman captivated by a bad boy, with G-Dragon playing dual roles as both the bad boy and a man secretly in love with her.

Jennie's role in 'That XX' was seen as an alluring figure representing unattainable love, earning the music video widespread acclaim as one of G-Dragon's well-crafted works.

Upon its release, 'TOO BAD' quickly climbed to the top of the Melon music chart, showcasing G-Dragon's enduring popularity. Other tracks from the album, including 'DRAMA', 'IBELONGIIU', and 'TAKE ME', also secured spots in the top 10.
