No one knows who it is...Controversy over fairness in music show MC

SM Entertainment's new girl group member, Aina from Hearts2Hearts, has been selected as the new MC for MBC's 'Show! Music Core'. This announcement has sparked mixed reactions, as Aina has yet to make her official debut.

Aina will be joining established MCs Kim Gyubin from ZEROBASEONE and Dohoon from TWS. Kim Gyubin, who debuted in July 2023, has been actively promoting with his group, filling venues like the KSPO DOME and becoming a prominent figure in the 5th generation of boy groups.

Dohoon, who debuted in January last year, has already made a name for himself with TWS's hit songs and has gained experience as an MC, including hosting the MBC 'Gayo Daejejeon' alongside Girls' Generation's Yoona and SHINee's Minho.

Being an MC on a music show is a coveted position that can significantly boost an artist's visibility and their group's recognition. However, Aina's appointment has raised eyebrows as she has not yet showcased her talents publicly. Her only notable credential is being under the prestigious SM Entertainment label.

While there are no strict criteria for selecting music show MCs, the decision to cast Aina has been met with skepticism. Previous MCs like Younghoon from The Boyz, Sullyoon from NMIXX, and actor Lee Jung-ha had proven track records that justified their roles.

As Aina steps into this high-profile role, she will need to introduce various groups and their songs to the audience. Given the circumstances of her selection, the public is likely to scrutinize her performance more closely. The pressure is on for this rookie to prove herself.
