Rumors of T.O.P Rejoining BIGBANG Debunked by YG Entertainment and Choi Seung-hyun's Representatives
YG Entertainment and representatives of actor Choi Seung-hyun have dismissed rumors circulating on online communities about T.O.P rejoining the group BIGBANG.

On the 11th, a representative from YG Entertainment told TenAsia, "The names G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung, and T.O.P listed on BIGBANG's official YouTube have not been recently updated or changed," clarifying that this list does not imply T.O.P's return to the group.

Choi Seung-hyun's representative also stated, "To my knowledge, Choi Seung-hyun has not changed his name on his social media profile in the past three years," adding, "The rumors of him rejoining BIGBANG as T.O.P are not true."

Another BIGBANG representative added, "Choi Seung-hyun recently made it clear in an interview that he would not be rejoining BIGBANG. It doesn't make sense for him to rejoin now."

Speculation arose online when fans noticed T.O.P's name on BIGBANG's official YouTube account and Choi Seung-hyun's social media, leading to rumors of his return to the group. However, both parties have confirmed these rumors are false.

Previously, Choi Seung-hyun expressed his reluctance to rejoin BIGBANG in an interview, stating, "I caused irreparable harm to the team. It's okay for me to take the blame and criticism alone, but I can't let my label affect the team anymore. I decided to leave the group in 2020 and still feel guilty about it."

He further emphasized, "The mistake was too significant. I've been stagnant for 10 years, and despite much contemplation, I don't think I can return due to my lack of shame. Even if they offered, I don't think I could go back."

Choi Seung-hyun was sentenced to a 20-month prison term with a two-year probation in 2016 for marijuana use in Seoul's Yongsan district. He officially announced his departure from the group in 2023.

Currently, BIGBANG is considered a trio consisting of G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung. They performed as a complete unit at the 'MAMA Awards' in Japan last year, showcasing their stage 'Home Sweet Home.'
