NewJeans Members' Parents Open Up on Social Media Amid Dispute with HYBE and ADOR

On the 31st, individuals claiming to be the parents of the five NewJeans members launched a social media account, stating, 'This account is temporarily set up to represent our stance in the dispute with HYBE.'
They explained, 'We have tried multiple times to communicate our position through various media outlets and journalists, but only a few have accurately reported our side. Attempts to distribute our statements through agencies have also been met with distorted headlines, making it difficult to convey our position without bias.'
The parents further alleged, 'While the members' stories are either misrepresented or minimally covered, HYBE and ADOR are distributing hundreds of articles daily that do not undergo the necessary fact-checking or right of reply processes, often spreading false information or only representing their stance.'
They expressed concern, stating, 'Unfortunately, as we approach an injunction lawsuit, we have received reports that HYBE and ADOR are circulating false articles targeting the members to various journalists, prompting us to create this account.'
Acknowledging the fatigue from the prolonged dispute, they added, 'We apologize for any inconvenience, but this account is necessary to communicate facts that the members cannot directly address, serving as their sole spokesperson in this urgent situation.'
The five NewJeans members notified ADOR of their contract termination on November 29 last year and have since been pursuing independent activities. Min Hee-jin, former ADOR CEO, has remained silent on multiple tampering allegations, selectively addressing only non-core issues.
In response, ADOR filed for an injunction on the 13th to maintain its status as the agency and to prohibit the signing of advertising contracts. NewJeans has appointed Sejong, Min Hee-jin's legal representative, to counter this, raising eyebrows in both the entertainment and legal circles.
Statement from the Parents of NewJeans Members
Hello, we are the parents of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.
This account is temporarily set up to represent our stance in the dispute with HYBE.
We have tried multiple times to communicate our position through various media outlets and journalists.
Only a few have accurately reported our side, and attempts to distribute our statements through agencies have been met with distorted headlines, making it difficult to convey our position without bias.
While the members' stories are either misrepresented or minimally covered, HYBE and ADOR are distributing hundreds of articles daily that do not undergo the necessary fact-checking or right of reply processes, often spreading false information or only representing their stance.
[Unfortunately, as we approach an injunction lawsuit, we have received reports that HYBE and ADOR are circulating false articles targeting the members to various journalists, prompting us to create this account.]
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the prolonged dispute.
However, this account is necessary to communicate facts that the members cannot directly address, serving as their sole spokesperson in this urgent situation.
