BTS's digital single 'Dynamite,' released on August 21, 2020, has reached an impressive milestone of 2 billion streams on Spotify as of January 12, according to the latest data from the world's largest music streaming platform. This achievement marks BTS as the first K-pop group to surpass 2 billion streams for a single track on Spotify.

The song made history as the first Korean artist's track to debut at number one on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart and was the most-streamed song on its release day. It was also the first K-pop song to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.

With 'Dynamite,' BTS has rewritten the history of Korean pop music. They became the first Korean artists to top the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and the K-pop artists with the longest stay at number one on this chart. Notably, they garnered global attention by being the first Korean pop artists nominated for a Grammy Award, one of the four major music awards in the United States. Additionally, they became the first foreign artists to surpass 800 million streams for a single track on Japan's Oricon chart.
