G-Dragon Set for February Comeback with New Album and Concert

G-Dragon of BIGBANG is making a highly anticipated return with a new full-length album and a concert, marking his first solo album release in 13 years since 'COUP D'ETAT' in 2012.

According to an exclusive report by TenAsia on the 6th, G-Dragon is set to release his new album in February, with plans for a concert at the end of March. While the concert dates are not yet finalized, preparations are underway.

The upcoming album will include two pre-released tracks: 'POWER,' released on October 31, and 'HOME SWEET HOME,' featuring fellow BIGBANG members Taeyang and Daesung, released on November 22.

'POWER,' G-Dragon's first release in seven years, topped iTunes charts in 16 countries and set a new record on Melon with over 83,000 listeners in the first hour of its release. 'HOME SWEET HOME' also achieved significant success, reaching number one on music charts across Asia, including China, solidifying BIGBANG's triumphant return.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the new title track of G-Dragon's solo album, following the success of 'POWER' and 'HOME SWEET HOME.'

A representative from Galaxy Corporation cautiously confirmed to TenAsia that plans for G-Dragon's album release in February are in place, though nothing is set in stone. Previously, G-Dragon's team had stated that the comeback date was undecided, despite the release of 'POWER' on October 31.

This solo album marks G-Dragon's first in 13 years, following his 2012 album 'COUP D'ETAT,' which featured 12 tracks, including the quadruple title tracks 'Black' featuring BLACKPINK's Jennie, 'Who You?,' 'Crooked,' and 'Niliria,' all of which received widespread acclaim.

G-Dragon made his return to the stage last October after a 7-year hiatus, appearing on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' and performing with BIGBANG at the '2024 MAMA,' fulfilling promises to his long-awaiting fans. He continues to engage with fans through his secondary social media account, balancing mystique and reality.
