NewJeans' 'How Sweet' Ranks 35th on Rolling Stone's '100 Best Songs of 2024'

NewJeans' track 'How Sweet' has been ranked 35th on Rolling Stone's '100 Best Songs of 2024'.

On December 3rd, Rolling Stone released their list of 'The 100 Best Songs of 2024', praising 'How Sweet' for continuing NewJeans' trend of delivering experimental, fresh, and original music.

Rolling Stone noted, "Since their debut in 2022, NewJeans has introduced sounds and genres rarely seen in K-pop. 'How Sweet' is no exception, featuring energetic electropop beats contrasted with bright and resonant vocals."

'How Sweet' also made it onto PopMatters' list of 'The 15 Best K-Pop Songs of 2024'.

PopMatters described 'How Sweet' as "another remarkable highlight in NewJeans' discography," adding that the group exudes natural charm with their bouncy beats. The song represents another pinnacle in their efforts to push boundaries.

NewJeans' popularity is also soaring in Japan. They ranked third in the musician category of Yahoo! JAPAN's 'Yahoo! Search Awards 2024', announced on December 4th. This award is based on Yahoo Japan's data, highlighting individuals and works with the most significant search increases this year. NewJeans placed high among local artists like Number_i and Mrs. GREEN APPLE, showcasing their growing influence in Japan.

In June, NewJeans released their debut Japanese single 'Supernatural', and became the fastest foreign artist to perform at Tokyo Dome in just 1 year and 11 months. Their success in Japan was further cemented when they received the Excellent Work Award at the 66th Japan Record Awards for 'Supernatural'.

Meanwhile, NewJeans is set to appear on Fuji TV's 'FNS Music Festival', a prominent year-end special program in Japan, on December 4th.
