Bruno Mars Celebrates First Korean Music Show Win with Heartfelt Message
Pop star Bruno Mars expressed his gratitude in Korean after achieving his first-ever win on a domestic music show since his debut.
On the 25th, Bruno Mars took to his social media to say, "Thank you so much to my Korean fans!! I cried all morning after getting my first music show win. Thank you so much to Rosé for helping me achieve this, and thank you for loving 'APT.' so much," adding a humorous touch with "Love, Bruno oppa."
Rosé shared the post, responding with "So proud of you Bruno Mars," adding to the heartwarming exchange. 'APT.' is a pre-release single ahead of Rosé's official comeback on December 6, and will be included in her first full-length album 'rosie.' Upon release, it achieved a 'Perfect All-Kill' by topping real-time, daily, and 'TOP 100' charts on major Korean music sites like Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Vibe.
Additionally, the song secured the number one spot on Spotify's US chart and topped iTunes charts in 40 regions, proving its global appeal. It also reached number one on China's largest music platform, QQ Music, showcasing its widespread popularity across the Americas and Asia. Notably, Rosé became the first Korean female solo artist to top the US Spotify chart and the Global Spotify Daily Top Song chart, marking a new career high with 'APT.'
Rosé expressed her gratitude, saying, "This song was naturally written while playing a game I enjoy with friends in the studio. I'm deeply moved and thankful that so many people are listening and enjoying it. Although I had many worries and concerns, the love and support I've received make me happy and energized."
'APT.,' which Rosé participated in creating, is inspired by the widely known 'Apartment Game' in Korea. Rosé explained, "The 'Apartment Game' is a game I really love; it's simple, fun, and perfect for lifting the mood. One night in the studio, I taught the staff how to play, and as we enjoyed it together, the song began to take shape, with Bruno Mars joining to complete it."
Meanwhile, 'rosie,' which includes the pre-release single 'APT.,' is Rosé's first full-length album, featuring a total of 12 tracks, including the title track. Rosé has participated in writing and composing all the songs, promising to deliver a more honest and intimate narrative.
