BTS's RM Donates 100 Million Won to Veterans on His Birthday

Through his agency, Big Hit Music, RM expressed, 'I have recently felt the dedication of many people in the field. I hope this small contribution can help all the heroes who are currently dedicating themselves to the country and those who have worked for peace. I also sincerely thank ARMY (the fandom name) for always sending me overwhelming love and congratulations.'
RM has been engaging in various forms of charitable activities to commemorate his birthday. Last year, he supported the Korean Society of Forensic Medicine, highlighting the importance of training experts. In 2021 and 2022, he donated to the Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation, contributing to the restoration and preservation of cultural heritage. Additionally, since 2023, he has been serving as an ambassador for the Ministry of National Defense's Excavation and Identification Unit, actively promoting the excavation project to the public.
BTS, the group RM belongs to, is also known for their philanthropic efforts. Since 2017, BTS and Big Hit Music have been running the 'LOVE MYSELF' campaign, promoting the value of self-love and the message of ending violence. Their official fan club, ARMY, has also been consistently practicing sharing by supporting children and adolescents from vulnerable groups, creating a beautiful virtuous cycle.
Meanwhile, the 'Uniformed Service Members Appreciation Campaign' aims to foster a culture of respect and gratitude towards uniformed service members. This year's core message is 'Another National Representative That Korea Should Support,' encouraging people to cheer for and express gratitude to those who work with the national flag on their uniforms.
