LE SSERAFIM has directly addressed the vocal controversy.
The group LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) has directly addressed the vocal controversy.
On the 29th, LE SSERAFIM held a showcase at YES24 in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their mini 4th album 'CRAZY'.
During the event, the group was asked about the vocal controversy that arose from their Coachella performance in April. Kim Chaewon responded, "There were many regrets about the Coachella stage, but as a team and personally, I learned a lot and realized many things." She added, "Since our debut, we've performed on many stages in a short period, but it was our first time at a large outdoor festival, so I think we were very excited and couldn't control our pace."
She continued, "There were many shortcomings, but I realized that we have a lot more to learn and experience. Showing a better version of ourselves is a lifelong task for me. We talked among the members about showing a better side of ourselves, and I think this album is the first step."
Huh Yunjin also shared, "Based on this experience, we thought we should show LE SSERAFIM growing step by step. We wanted to show and deliver cool stages and music to the fans who support and wait for us." She added, "We took on many musical challenges. It was our first time trying EDM house, and performance-wise, we challenged ourselves with voguing. We hope you look forward to it." Regarding the new song, LE SSERAFIM said, "We expressed the emotions of meeting someone who drives us crazy. The music is trendy, and the lyrics are unique and fun. We are confident that it will be a song that sticks in your ears." They added, "It feels electrifying and fresh, like a 100,000-volt shock. It was fun and a refreshing shock."
Regarding the performance, LE SSERAFIM said, "This time, we challenged ourselves with voguing dance. It has a cool and restrained feel." They added, "When we tried it ourselves, we realized it requires a lot of core strength. This challenge will truly be a challenge. It won't be easy to succeed in one go," eliciting laughter.
The new album by LE SSERAFIM consists of various genres, including hip-hop, techno, and EDM-based tracks, which the team is trying for the first time, aiming to expand their musical spectrum. The theme is "Let's go crazy with LE SSERAFIM."
The title track 'CRAZY' is an EDM-based house genre song with a simple yet sophisticated beat and repetitive lyrics 'Da da da da' aiming for addictiveness.
Additionally, the track 'Pierrot' samples Kim Wan-sun's 'The Pierrot Laughs at Us,' garnering high interest even before its release. The album includes a total of five songs, including '1-800-hot-n-fun,' which features a strong guitar riff and hip-hop sound, and 'The Reason I Can't Go Crazy,' mainly produced by Huh Yunjin.
LE SSERAFIM's mini 4th album 'CRAZY' will be released on the 30th at 1 PM.
