NCT's Taeil Accused of Sexual Assault, Leaves Group
NCT member Taeil (30, Moon Taeil) has been accused of sexual assault and has left the group.
SM Entertainment announced on the 28th, "We recently confirmed that Taeil has been accused in a criminal case related to sexual crimes. While verifying the facts, we recognized the severity of the issue and decided that he could no longer continue group activities. After discussions with Taeil, we decided on his departure from the team." Taeil is reportedly facing allegations of sexual assault.
The agency added, "Taeil is currently cooperating fully with the police investigation. We will provide further updates based on the progress of the investigation. We deeply apologize for the trouble caused by our artist."
Taeil debuted in 2016 as part of NCT's unit NCT U and has been active as a member of NCT and its sub-group NCT 127.
