Kim Sung-kyu has successfully wrapped up his solo concert in Thailand
Singer Kim Sung-kyu has successfully wrapped up his solo concert in Thailand.
On the 24th, Kim Sung-kyu held his solo concert '[LV] 3' (Let's Vacay) at the MCC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand, meeting with local fans.
Following the 2022 '[LV] 1' which stood for 'Light & Voice' and last year's '[LV] 2' which meant 'LIKE YOUR VIBES,' this year's '[LV] 3' concert, an abbreviation for 'Let's Vacay,' garnered attention for its different interpretations under the same title.
Kim Sung-kyu opened the '[LV] 3' concert in Thailand with a spectacular performance of 'DIVIN',' a song that matched the refreshing theme of 'Let's Vacay.' He continued with 'Shine' and 'Ready To Go,' greeting the fans who filled the venue by saying, 'Thank you so much for coming despite the bad weather. Welcome.'
Kim Sung-kyu then performed numerous hit songs that have marked his illustrious career as a solo artist, including 'Because,' '41 Days,' 'Sometimes,' 'Only You,' 'Sentimental,' 'Sorry,' 'Till Sunrise,' 'Climax,' 'Small Talk,' '60 Seconds,' 'Go Again,' 'Savior,' and 'It Will Be.'
He also delivered special performances exclusive to '[LV] 3,' such as the acoustic versions of 'Jump,' a song he wrote for INFINITE and their official fan club INSPIRIT, 'Fog,' 'Must,' and 'CLOSER,' heating up the atmosphere. Given that Bangkok is a world-renowned tourist city and a popular summer vacation spot, Kim Sung-kyu shared stories with fans about various local tourist attractions, food, and shopping lists. He humorously mentioned, 'I often get compliments on my good foreign language pronunciation,' and delighted fans by speaking some local phrases like 'I missed you,' 'I'm happy to see you again,' and 'Thank you.'
He also talked about his upcoming solo web variety show 'Tour Fairy,' set to premiere on September 5th on the YouTube channel Mderomeda Studio. The show will feature Kim Sung-kyu's adventures as a tour guide. He said, 'Even though it's physically demanding, I'm grateful to be able to work hard. Please show a lot of interest and love,' raising expectations.
Towards the end of the concert, instead of chanting for an encore, fans summoned Kim Sung-kyu with the '[LV]' official summoning song 'Kontrol.' He reappeared in a small phone booth on stage and continued to sing 'Kontrol' a cappella, providing an extraordinary fan service that thrilled the audience. He then performed additional songs like 'My Everyday Is You,' 'Reply,' and 'Attraction,' engaging with fans until the very end and promising to meet again.
Expressing his gratitude through his agency Billions, Kim Sung-kyu said, 'I was so happy to perform in Bangkok after a long time. I hope everyone stays healthy and happy until I return. Thank you once again for your enthusiastic support.'
After successfully completing concerts in Seoul, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Thailand, Kim Sung-kyu will conclude his '[LV] 3' Asia tour with performances in Hong Kong on August 31st and September 1st. Additionally, he will meet audiences as the lead character Charlie in the musical 'Kinky Boots,' which will run from September 7th to November 10th at the Blue Square Shinhan Card Hall in Seoul.
