Seventeen donates 'global education environment creation fund' to UNESCO in celebration of 9th anniversary of debut

Group Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) performed a meaningful good deed to celebrate their 9th anniversary since their debut.

According to Pledis Entertainment on the 28th, Seventeen donated 'funds to create a global educational environment' to the Korean National Commission for UNESCO on the 26th, their debut anniversary.

The donations will be used to spread #Going Together, an education campaign run by Seventeen and the Korean National Commission for UNESCO, and to hold the 'UNESCO Future of Education International Forum' to discuss future education.

Seventeen said through their agency, “We are proud and grateful to be able to participate in such a meaningful event on our debut anniversary, which is like our birthday.”

Seventeen, who debuted in 2015, has continued to engage in various forms of donation activities. In particular, on May 26th, the anniversary of their debut, they practiced sharing and spread their positive influence to the underprivileged, abused children, and vulnerable children and adolescents around the world.

Additionally, they have been carrying out the Going Together campaign with the Korean National Commission for UNESCO since August 2022 to inform the world of the importance of education. As part of this, meaningful achievements were achieved, including the reconstruction of education in Malawi, Africa, and the establishment of two learning centers in East Timor.

Furthermore, Seventeen was the first K-pop artist to be exclusively assigned a special session at the 13th 'UNESCO Youth Forum' held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France in November last year, demonstrating influence as a global speaker representing the young generation.
