“She became Mr. Hole” IU joins hands with lookalike Tweety Bird

On the 15th, the agency EDAM Entertainment said, “Tweety, the animated character from Warner Bros.’ ‘Looney Tunes,’ was loved in the music video for ‘Hole’, one of the double title songs in IU’s new mini-album ‘The Winning’. “Bird appears,” he said. “He also makes a surprise appearance in the music video teaser released on the official channel at midnight today, and is receiving a warm response not only domestically but also globally.”
In the teaser video released on this day, IU stood against a wide outdoor background, and dandelion seeds appeared one after another. Then, a dynamic group dance scene of dancers appeared, capturing the viewer's attention. In particular, a large-sized Tweety Bird surprised everyone by appearing next to IU, who was pulling a cart full of goods and with receipts flying around. At the end of the video, IU stares at the camera and briefly says, “She has become Mr. Hole.” It ends with a unique composition that visually shows her becoming Mr. Hole, amplifying curiosity about the episode.
'Hole', the double title song of IU's new mini album, is a track with a unique composition based on hip-hop and R&B. IU's voice plays a variety of roles on top of the heavy drum & bass, sometimes a flexible R&B singer, sometimes a sharp rapper, and sometimes playful as if singing a children's song. This song reunites IU with composers Lee Jong-hoon and Lee Chae-gyu, who created the record-breaking hits 'Spring Love, Not Cherry Blossoms', 'Twenty-Three', and 'Blooming'. In particular, IU participated solely in writing the lyrics, which already raises expectations about what IU's lyrics will be like, which resonate with listeners of all generations in each song she releases.
Tweety Bird, who made a surprise appearance in the music video for 'Hole', is a canary character from the 'Looney Tunes' animation that first became known to the public in 1942. Tweety Bird, famous for its confident and optimistic personality, bright yellow color, and cute visuals, still has pop culture fans around the world.
IU's new album will be released at 6 PM on the 20th.
