ITZY releases new mini album 'BORN TO BE' today (8th)
ITZY will make a spectacular comeback by releasing a new mini album and title song 'UNTOUCHABLE' on January 8th. They have shown solid skills and high energy levels with explosive performances in each album, shining the presence of 'K-pop representative performance queens', and are heating up global fans even more with a new work containing the 'intense fire' that everyone has been waiting for. The opening track 'BORN TO BE' and the b-side song 'Mr. The music video for 'Vampire' (Mr. Vampire) ranked first on YouTube Trending Worldwide after its release, showing how high domestic and foreign fans' expectations are for ITZY's new album.
The new album 'BORN TO BE', which adds meaning as ITZY's first comeback in 2024, contains the bold message, 'We will move forward as we want in the wide world unfolding before our eyes.' Going beyond the group's core musical identity, 'Let's respect and love myself,' which has been emphasized since their debut work 'Dalladalla', it conveys a more challenging meaning of expressing oneself more freely and overcoming one's own limitations.
The new song 'UNTOUCHABLE' is choreographed by world-renowned choreographer Kiel Tutin and dancer Song Hee-soo from 'Turns', the winning team of Mnet's 'Street Dance Girls Fighter' aired in 2022, heralding the birth of an all-time great stage. Lee Seo-ran, who wrote 'None of My Business' from the previous work 'KILL MY DOUBT', and famous lyricist Bang Hye-hyun wrote the lyrics, and Maria Marcus, who has worked with many K-pop artists, participated. We made a well-made album. Here, the members energize listeners by singing the message, 'Let's face 'together' the numerous conflicts and difficulties in the world around us.'
The new mini album includes the title song 'UNTOUCHABLE', 'BORN TO BE', 'Mr. Vampire', 'Dynamite', 'Escalator' and member solo songs 'Crown On My Head (Yeji)', 'Blossom (Ria)' (Blossom (Ria) )), 'Run Away (Ryujin)', 'Mine (Chaeryeong)', 'Yet, but (Yuna)', a total of 10. There are a lot of songs included. In particular, ITZY demonstrated their musical capabilities by directly participating in writing and composing their solo songs for the first time since their debut.
We have prepared various contents to celebrate with fans the new album release and comeback, which will continue the rapid worldwide rise. At 5 PM, an hour before release, the countdown live will be simultaneously broadcast live on JYP's official YouTube channel and music platform Melon, and the comeback story will be told through Melon's exclusive live 'Melon Spotlight LIVE' at 7 PM on the same day.
Meanwhile, ITZY's new mini album 'BORN TO BE' and title song 'UNTOUCHABLE' will be officially released at 6 PM on Monday, January 8. On February 24th and 25th, a solo concert will be held at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul and the second world tour 'ITZY 2ND WORLD TOUR <BORN TO BE>' will begin.
