New Jeans ranked first in album sales among K-pop female artists this year.

NewJeans sold the most albums among K-pop female artists this year, proving to be an ‘unrivaled powerhouse’ in both the music and album sectors.

According to the album sales review recently released by Circle Chart, the albums of New Jeans (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, and Hyein) sold a total of 4,399,019 copies from January 1 to December 16. As a result, New Jeans ranked first (15.4%) in cumulative sales volume in 2023 among K-pop female artists.

This is an achievement achieved through three albums. This year's cumulative sales surpassed not only fourth-generation girl groups, but also senior female artists with more albums. New Jeans demonstrated its potential by achieving 'million-seller' status for all of its debut album 'New Jeans' released in August of last year, single album 'OMG' released in January of this year, and second EP 'Get Up' released in July. did. In particular, 'Get Up' has sold more than 1.99 million copies as of last month and is on the verge of becoming a 'double million seller'.

New Jeans has already shown a strong presence on the music charts. Throughout the first quarter of this year, New Genes' songs ('Ditto', 'OMG', 'Hype Boy') ranked 1st to 3rd on major domestic music charts, and in the second half of the year, 'Super Shy' and 'ETA' hit domestic and international charts, leading to ' The ‘New Jeans Syndrome’ has continued. New Genes' songs, which are loved evenly regardless of whether they are new or previous, are still at the top of the charts and are enjoying a long run.

Based on these achievements, New Jeans is sweeping the grand prizes at major domestic year-end awards ceremonies such as the '2023 MAMA Awards', 'MMA2023', and '2023 AAA', and is ranked first in K-pop at the 'Billboard Music Awards', one of the three major music award ceremonies in the United States. They were the first girl group to receive the award.

New Jeans will participate in Japan's TBS's 'Japan Record Awards', which will be broadcast on the 30th, and America's ABC's 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024' on the 31st. It will appear in the finale in 2023.
