NewJeans 'Get Up' charted on the US 'Billboard 200' for 22 consecutive weeks
According to the latest US Billboard chart (as of December 30) released on the 27th (Korean time), NewJeans (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein)'s second EP 'Get Up' ranked first on the main album chart 'Billboard 200'. ' ranked 106th, up 32 places from the previous week. This album attracted attention by significantly increasing its ranking on this chart for two consecutive weeks, following a rebound of 18 places last week. 'Get Up' entered this chart at No. 1 (as of August 5) and stayed there for 22 consecutive weeks, repeatedly breaking the record for being the longest-running chart album by a 4th generation K-pop group.
Leading overseas media outlets are continuing to focus on 'Get Up'. 'Get Up' is one of 'The 20 Best K-pop Albums of 2023' recently announced by PASTE in the US, and 'The 25 Best Asian Albums of 2023' selected by NME in the UK. They all took first place in 'The 25 best Asian albums of 2023'. The two media outlets praised 'Get Up' as "flawless music" (Paste) and "an EP that established NewJeans as a trendsetter of an era" (NME).
The title song 'Super Shy' of 'Get Up' is also popular on the Billboard charts. 'Super Shy' ranked 106th in 'Global (excluding the US)' and 164th in 'Global 200' this week, maintaining its ranking on both charts for 24 consecutive weeks.
In addition, 'Ditto', a song from the single album 'OMG' released in January of this year, and the title song of the same name 'OMG' are still ranked 90th, up 43 places compared to the previous week, and 133rd, up 26 places, respectively, in 'Global (excluding the US)'. Showed firepower.
NewJeans announced Nippon TV's representative year-end music program 'Announcement!' on the 27th. The most listened to song of the year appeared at the ~Annual Music Awards 2023~. NewJeans, who were invited for two consecutive years, attracted attention with their sophisticated performances of 'OMG' and 'Super Shy'.
