Seraphim, MBC ‘Show! 1st place on ‘Music Core’
Le Seraphim (Kim Chae-won, Sakura, Heo Yun-jin, Kazuha, Hong Eun-chae) released their first English digital single 'Perfect Night' on MBC's 'Show!' on the 9th. Won first place on ‘Music Core’. This song achieved the unusual feat of reaching the top spot more than a month after its release (October 27th) without appearing on any broadcast.
Le Seraphim said through his agency Source Music, “I am grateful to have won first place on a music show with ‘Perfect Night’. I'm glad that many people love the song even though it's been over a month since it was released. “I hope you have a perfect year-end while listening to ‘Perfect Night’, and I really appreciate and love you all, FEARNOT (fandom name),” he said in his acceptance speech.
'Perfect Night''s popularity on music charts played a big role in winning first place on music shows. This song is setting a 'new K-pop girl group record' every day, achieving outstanding results on music charts where English songs are relatively weak amid the comebacks of major artists one after another.
'Perfect Night' took first place on the latest Melon weekly chart (counting period November 27 - December 3) and stayed at the top for two consecutive weeks. Le Seraphim is the first K-pop female artist to rank first on this chart with an English song for two consecutive weeks, both individually and as a group. This song has also maintained first place on the Melon daily chart for 19 consecutive days (November 20 - December 8).
In addition, 'Perfect Night' ranked first in both the digital and streaming categories on Circle Chart's latest weekly chart (week 48, 2023/counting period November 26 - December 2). Le Seraphim is the first English song by a K-pop girl group to sweep first place in the digital and streaming categories of the Circle Chart, and continues to set a new record by staying at the top for two consecutive weeks.
