BOYNEXTDOOR wins MMA 2023 Global Rising Artist Award

BOYNEXTDOOR showed off its status as a 'trending rookie' by winning an award and giving an overwhelming performance at the '2023 Melon Music Awards', which was held for the first time since its debut.

BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Liu, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, Lee Han, Woonhak) won the 'Global Rising Artist' category at the '2023 Melon Music Awards' (hereinafter 'MMA2023') held at Inspire Arena in Incheon on the 2nd. As a result, BOYNEXTDOOR, which debuted on May 30, won the 'K Global Heart Dream Awards', 'The Fact Music Awards', '2023 Brand of the Year Awards', and 'Super Sound Festival' held in Bangkok, followed by 'MMA2023'. They won their fifth awards ceremony trophy just six months after their debut.

BOYNEXTDOOR said, “The boys who loved music and the stage debuted under the name BOYNEXTDOOR on May 30th, and we met people called ONEDOOR (fandom name) who were really meaningful to us. It is thanks to One Door that we were able to stand here. “I hope you will be with us in the memories of youth we will make in the future,” he said in his acceptance speech. They then added in a voice full of emotion, “We love the members who have worked hard at every moment since our debut.”

BOYNEXTDOOR performed a performance titled 'ALoHomora' at the awards ceremony that day, showing off their versatile charm with strong singing skills and dynamic performances. They appeared with a rain-like LED screen and laser production, and sang 'Crying', a song from their first mini album 'WHY..', arranged in the R&B genre in a calm atmosphere. The members heightened the sense of immersion by expressing in calm voices the feelings of a boy who ended his awkward first love.

On the stage of the title song 'What Do You Think' from their first mini album, they added a unique hyper pop sound to hiply express the childish heart of a wounded boy. In the second half of the song, instead of the team's unique free energy, they performed a sophisticated dance break with 40 dancers, showing off their unique charm. World-renowned dance crew Just Jerk participated in the production of dance break choreography and completed a performance of overwhelming scale.

BOYNEXTDOOR will appear at the '2023 Asia Artist Awards IN THE PHILIPPINES' held at the Philippine Arena in Manila on the 14th (Korean time).
