BTS Jungkook has clearly demonstrated his status as a solo artist in Europe.

According to this year's candidate list announced by Europe's largest music awards ceremony, the '2023 MTV Europe Music Awards', on the 4th (local time), BTS Jungkook won 'Best Song', 'Best K-pop', and 'Best K-pop'. It was nominated for awards in three categories, including 'Biggest Fans'. This is a new record for the most nominations by a Korean solo artist at the ‘MTV Europe Music Awards’.

Jungkook's first solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)', released on July 14th, was nominated for 'Best Song'. In this category, Jungkook stood shoulder to shoulder with prominent candidates such as Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift.

Immediately after its release, 'Seven' ranked first on the US Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100' and third on the UK Official Singles Chart, and simultaneously swept 'Daily Top Song Global' and 'Weekly Top Song Global' on Spotify, the world's largest streaming company. It heated up the summer and is still loved by many people.

Attention is focused on whether Jungkook, who was also nominated in the 'Biggest Fans' category, where BTS won the trophy for five consecutive years from 2018 to last year, will continue to win awards as a solo artist.

The '2023 MTV Europe Music Awards' will be held in Paris, France on the 5th of next month.

Meanwhile, Jungkook plans to release his first solo album 'GOLDEN' on November 3rd at 1 PM (Korean time) and continue his global trend. 'GOLDEN' contains a total of 11 songs, including solo singles 'Seven' and '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)'.
