BTS' 'FAKE LOVE' music video exceeds 1.2 billion views
The number of YouTube views of the music video for 'FAKE LOVE', the title song of BTS' 3rd full-length album LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear' released on May 18, 2018, exceeded 1.2 billion at around 3:54 pm on the 24th. This music video thus became BTS' sixth music video to reach 1.2 billion views.
'FAKE LOVE' entered the Billboard main single chart 'Hot 100' at number 10 and stayed on the chart for 6 consecutive weeks, and LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear', which contains this song, entered the Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200' at number 1 and ranked 15th. It has been on the charts for consecutive weeks. With this song and album, BTS set a new record by becoming the first Korean singer to simultaneously reach #1 on the 'Billboard 200' and top 10 on the 'Hot 100' in the first week of release.
