Group Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) is collecting music broadcast trophies with their new song 'Son Goku'.
Seventeen appeared on MBC's 'Show!' which aired on the 6th. On 'Music Core', 'Son Goku', one of the double title songs of the 10th mini album 'FML', took first place without appearing on air. With this, SEVENTEEN ‘Show! Following 'Champion', 'M Countdown', and 'Music Bank', they won 4 music broadcast awards.
Through 'FML', Seventeen understands the conflicts and wanderings of youth from a healthy and positive perspective and comforts them, saying, 'Rather than being buried in negative thoughts even in bad situations, let's fight and overcome together without getting tired instead of being pessimistic and frustrated on our own.' and delivers a message of hope.
'Son Goku' is a song characterized by a variety of repetitive kick rhythms in the style of Alternative Jersey Club with an intense feeling. Seventeen was inspired by 'Son Goku', who upgrades himself through trials and frustrations, and included a message in the song that compared themselves to 'Son Goku', continuing their 'career high' and infinite growth.
Meanwhile, Seventeen became the only artist in the world to sell more than 3 million copies on the first day of release with 'FML', and 'FML' is the highest K-pop album in history with initial sales of 4,550,214 copies (album sales in the first week after release). It set a new record for initial sales, proving its true value as an absolute powerhouse in K-pop.
