WEi "In the 4th year of my debut, I put consolation for everyone in the new song 'Speed'"

"It's already been 4 years since our debut. It's a time of many worries and worries. Since we recorded this album, we've put a lot of these feelings into it. When we look at these songs, there are many lyrics that comfort us. In fact, we feel comforted while listening to ourselves. ."

On the 29th, the 6th mini album 'Love Pt. 3: Eternally' (Love Pt. 3: Eternally), the group WEi (Jang Dae-hyun, Kim Dong-han, Yoo Yong-ha, Kim Yo-han, Kang Seok-hwa, Kim Jun-seo) interviewed Ten Asia.

In October of last year, the 5th mini album 'Love Pt. 2: Passion' (Love Pt. 2: Passion) after 8 months. In addition, through this comeback, the so-called 'LOVE' series is expected to decorate the end of the narrative of the Wei table.

WEi successfully completed the world tour, which started in Japan on the 4th and continued to the Americas. It is possible to take a breather after an exhausting tour, but the reason why I came back with an album in less than a month is because I wanted to repay the love I received from the fans.

Jang Dae-hyun said, "First of all, I wanted to express my gratitude to the many people who love WEi even from far away. I am happy to be able to show various sides of myself. I hope (fans) will feel 'joy' through this album." The meaning of this news report was conveyed.

'There will be no one who works without feeling insecure. The album concept itself is bright, but the lyrics in the song contain the meaning of comfort. I wanted to convey this feeling easily and comfortably. Sound-wise, you can smile, but in terms of lyrics, I'd like to explain it as 'consolation for everyone'."

Seokhwa said that he feels a special feeling about this album. He said, "This mini-album marks the end of the 'Love Series'. It's a little different from the love stories we've done in the past. It's more about love for ourselves than love for others. The most important thing when deciding on the song concept was the color of our group. It was to find a song that would clearly express the song.”

Through this album, WEi has solved some of the concerns about what differentiates them from each other to some extent. The answer they gave was 'a group that can show joy on stage'.

Jang Dae-hyun said, "I have a strong idea to do more for Wii. Rather than worrying about 'what should we do?', I worry a lot about 'what do we want to do?'" "WEi is a group that has its own unique joy. Even if it's a refreshing song or a powerful song, we can express the joy within us."

The title song 'Running' is composed by Ninos Hanna, who participated in composing and writing lyrics for 'Still Life' by BTS RM and 'Hot Sauce' by NCT DREAM, and 'Antifragile' by Le Seraphim. (Antifragile) lyricist/composition, Ronni Icon who participated in writing the lyrics for ENHYPEN's 'Blessed-Cursed', 'Over Me' by the Overdose team of Mnet's 'Boys Planet' Me), the team HIGHBRID participated, and the colorful writers caught the eye.

Yonghwa, who said, "I thought about what kind of music would sound the best when the public heard it," said, "I requested a song through behind-the-scenes recruitment. It was to find a song that would reveal The Wei's unique color. In that process, the songs were selected, so I wonder if I was able to contain good feelings when I sang."

These are the WEi members who showed strong confidence not only in the title song but also in the b-side songs. First, Yohan said, "If I had to choose one song, I really liked 'At the end of the day' given by BTOB Lim Hyunsik. The sound source hasn't been released yet, but I listen to it every day through the file."

Seokhwa said, "I've liked R&B since before. There is a song called 'Your Planet' that Mr. Radi participated in, and I liked it because it felt like Wii had never done it before. I think it is a song that shows a sense of beat and rhythm well."

Jang Dae-hyun asked, "These days, albums tend to listen to the title song, but it seems like the atmosphere is like listening to the b-side songs. As this is an album with good seniors and composers, I hope you will listen to other songs as well, including sprinting."

Wei is a group that debuted in 2020. As they debuted at a time when the coronavirus infection (Corona 19) was prevalent, the desire for an offline stage was strong. “The biggest goal was to hold a concert with fans. Since the last album, the congestion has been gradually easing. I feel cool and grateful. has been opened because there is adrenaline that is given on an offline stage."

Seokhwa raised expectations for the 'sprinting challenge'. Seokhwa said, "There are choreographies that we do by ourselves, but I want to try it with other artists while promoting music shows or schedules. I studied the camera composition a lot because I wanted to be different from other challenges. As much as I prepared hard, I ask for your interest."
