New Jeans syndrome again? The pre-released song 'Super Shy' topped the music charts
As of 11 a.m. on the 10th, "Super Shy" by New Jeans (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) swept No. 1 on major music charts in Korea, including Melon, Bugs, Genie, Naver Vibe, and FLO.
Immediately after its release on the 7th, this song quickly occupied the real-time charts of Bugs, Genie, and Naver Vibe. It first entered Melon's 'Top 100' chart, which ranks by adding up 24-hour usage and recent 1-hour usage, at number 20. Since then, it has steadily risen and took second place on the second day of release, and finally reached the top of Melon's 'Top 100' at 10:00 pm on the third day (9th).
The album prologue song 'New Jeans', which was released along with 'Super Shy', is also gaining popularity as well as the title song, taking second place on Bugs and Naver Vibe. The 'New Jeans Syndrome', which held the first and second place on the domestic music charts with 'Ditto' and 'OMG' throughout the first quarter of this year, is showing signs of reviving once again.
On the global charts, New Jeans continues to rise. 'Super Shy' ranked 33rd on Spotify's global 'Daily Top Song' chart on July 8 (local time). It is a ranking that has risen 13 steps from the previous day. In the US' Daily Top Song, the world's largest pop market, it rose one notch to 36th.
New Jeans' 2nd mini album 'Get Up' will be released on the 21st at 1pm. The album contains a total of 6 songs including 'Super Shy', another title song 'ETA', and 'Cool With You'.
