The highly anticipated horror film 'Salmoji' has released a character still of Kim Hye-yoon, who takes on her first horror role as 'Soo-in'. Kim, who debuted in 2013, rose to stardom with the JTBC drama 'SKY Castle' and further solidified her career with the 2024 tvN series 'Seonjae Upgo Tuieo'. She also appeared in the SBS series 'Today, I'm Human', which recently recorded a 2.2% viewership rating, falling short of expectations.

In 'Salmoji', a mysterious figure is captured on a road view, leading a film crew to a reservoir where they encounter something lurking in the dark waters. Kim Hye-yoon plays the role of Soo-in, the director leading the crew, and her character still has been unveiled.

Kim Hye-yoon, who became an icon of her generation by portraying ambitious students in 'SKY Castle' and resilient protagonists in 'Seonjae Upgo Tuieo', is now set to transform into a 'horror queen' with 'Salmoji'. Her performance in the independent film 'The Girl on a Bulldozer' earned her the Best New Actress awards at the Blue Dragon Film Awards and the Grand Bell Awards.

Known for her ability to shine in roles of strong, independent characters, Kim takes on the role of Soo-in, a director who leads her team to Salmoji to recapture a road view photo of a mysterious figure. She states, "I only believe what I see with my own eyes," as she faces inexplicable horrors and fights to escape Salmoji with her colleagues, drawing audiences into the film.

Director Lee Sang-min describes Soo-in as a character who, despite her fears, is determined to resolve the mysterious events at Salmoji. He adds, "Kim Hye-yoon's sharp and powerful image perfectly matches the cool-headed and intelligent Soo-in," and emphasizes that she was the only choice for the role from the start.

The released stills capture Kim Hye-yoon's new expressions as she confronts unexplainable terror. Her portrayal of extreme emotions, from shock to fear, in the night scenes at Salmoji, captivates viewers.

'Salmoji', set to paint theaters with its inexplicable, irresistible, and inescapable horror, will be released on April 8, 2026, marking Kim Hye-yoon's debut in the horror genre.
