Actress Geum Hae-na Transforms into a Track Coach in Upcoming Film 'Min-jae of Tomorrow'
Scheduled for release in 2026, the film 'Min-jae of Tomorrow' tells the story of Min-jae, a 17-year-old track prodigy from an orphanage who has been isolated and discriminated against by society. After making a single wrong choice, her life is thrown into turmoil, but she ultimately takes a step towards a true tomorrow. Geum Hae-na will portray the role of Ji-soo, the track coach, shedding her usual action-packed roles to embody a coach caught in a rut.
In the film, Geum Hae-na's character Ji-soo is a coach who is both cold and rational, embodying the essence of a weary office worker. As a key figure in Min-jae's life, she plays a crucial role in driving the narrative tension of the film.
Geum Hae-na has steadily built her filmography by taking on leading and supporting roles in both short and independent films. She has also honed her acting skills through appearances in the JTBC drama 'Run On' and on stage. Her role as Min-hye, an elite killer in the Disney+ original series 'The Killers' Shopping Mall,' showcased her flair for action and unique acting style, captivating audiences. She is set to reprise her role in 'The Killers' Shopping Mall Season 2,' promising more high-quality action.
Geum Hae-na's bold transformation in 'Min-jae of Tomorrow' comes as the film celebrates multiple milestones ahead of its official release. It has been officially invited to the 'Asian Future' competition section of the 38th Tokyo International Film Festival, where it will make its debut. Additionally, it has been selected for the Festival Choice at the Seoul Independent Film Festival 2025, garnering significant attention both domestically and internationally.
