Actor Park Hee-soon Embraces 'Salesman Spirit' to Promote New Film

Recently, Park Hee-soon, who stars in the film 'No Choice,' was interviewed at a café in Sogyeok-dong, Seoul.
'No Choice' tells the story of Mansu, played by Lee Byung-hun, who, after being suddenly laid off from a paper company where he worked for 25 years, makes the drastic decision to eliminate his competition in his quest for reemployment. Park Hee-soon plays the role of Choi Seon-chul, a successful team leader at the paper company.
Park Hee-soon has been known for creating a lively atmosphere with his witty humor at various events for 'No Choice.' When asked if he prepares jokes in advance, he admitted, "I'm not very good at speaking off the cuff, so I prepare in advance. If I try to improvise, I tend to stutter, so I make notes." He added, "I consider myself a salesman who needs to make people watch the movie. I'm doing it with a salesman's mindset," showcasing his professionalism.
At a press screening, he humorously remarked, "My mindset and attitude were different. I was ready to bare it all, so to speak. But it was actually Seong-min who ended up baring it all, not me." This comment, reminiscent of a scene from the film, drew laughter from the audience. Park Hee-soon explained, "I meant that I was ready to give my all to the director's work, but since Seong-min's scene came to mind, I said it on the spot."
Park Hee-soon expressed his satisfaction with working with director Park Chan-wook. He stated, "It was a long-held wish and a bucket list item for me. I've admired his work since transitioning from theater to film. I love all his works, and my favorite keeps changing with each new release. I respect how the director continues to evolve. Our tastes in projects align, and I wanted to be part of his artistic world. I wanted to contribute, even if just a little, by appearing in his film."
