Highlights from Day 3 of the 30th Busan International Film Festival

The 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) continues to captivate audiences on its third day with a variety of events including outdoor stage greetings, open talks, and guest visits, allowing film stars to engage with their fans.

At 9 AM, the team behind the Gala Presentation film 'Good News' will hold a press conference. Directed by Byun Sung-hyun, 'Good News' is set in the 1970s and follows a group of people involved in a suspicious operation to land a hijacked plane. The press conference will feature director Byun Sung-hyun and actors Seol Kyung-gu, Hong Kyung, and Yamada Takayuki. The chemistry between Seol Kyung-gu, known as the 'Middle-aged Idol,' and rising star Hong Kyung is highly anticipated.

At 11 AM, an open talk for 'The Neighbors Upstairs' will take place, featuring director Ha Jung-woo and actors Gong Hyo-jin and Kim Dong-wook. The film tells the unpredictable story of a noisy upstairs couple (Ha Jung-woo and Lee Ha-nee) and a mundane downstairs couple (Gong Hyo-jin and Kim Dong-wook) who share a dinner, leading to unexpected events. It has been invited to the 'Korean Cinema Today - Special Premiere' section of the festival.

At 12 PM, the Netflix film 'The Great Flood' will host an outdoor stage greeting. Director Kim Byung-woo and actress Kim Da-mi will share insights about the film. 'The Great Flood' is an SF disaster blockbuster depicting the last day on Earth as a great flood engulfs the planet, focusing on the struggle of those in a submerged apartment. It is part of the 'Korean Cinema Today - Special Premiere' section and will be released on Netflix on December 19.

Following this, at 12:30 PM, an outdoor stage greeting for the Japanese film '5 Centimeters per Second' will feature director Yoshiyuki Okuyama and actor Matsumura Hokuto. At 1 PM, 'The Breaking: International Cut' will have its outdoor stage greeting, followed by 'Exit 8' at 2 PM. At 3 PM, an outdoor stage greeting for 'Dear X,' starring Kim Yoo-jung, will take place. At 3:30 PM, Hollywood actress Milla Jovovich, known for the 'Resident Evil' series, will present her new film 'The Protector' alongside director Adrian Grunberg.

The 'Good News' team, who met the press in the morning, will participate in the final open talk of the day at 4:30 PM, offering another opportunity to connect with the audience.
