Highlights from Day 3 of the 30th Busan International Film Festival
At 9 AM, the team behind the Gala Presentation film 'Good News' will hold a press conference. Directed by Byun Sung-hyun, 'Good News' is set in the 1970s and follows a group of people involved in a suspicious operation to land a hijacked plane. The press conference will feature director Byun Sung-hyun and actors Seol Kyung-gu, Hong Kyung, and Yamada Takayuki. The chemistry between Seol Kyung-gu, known as the 'Middle-aged Idol,' and rising star Hong Kyung is highly anticipated.
At 12 PM, the Netflix film 'The Great Flood' will host an outdoor stage greeting. Director Kim Byung-woo and actress Kim Da-mi will share insights about the film. 'The Great Flood' is an SF disaster blockbuster depicting the last day on Earth as a great flood engulfs the planet, focusing on the struggle of those in a submerged apartment. It is part of the 'Korean Cinema Today - Special Premiere' section and will be released on Netflix on December 19.
The 'Good News' team, who met the press in the morning, will participate in the final open talk of the day at 4:30 PM, offering another opportunity to connect with the audience.
