Kim Ye-rim Set for Thrilling Screen Debut in Teen Horror 'Kangryeong: Ghost Play'

Originally debuting with the group Red Velvet, Kim Ye-rim made a striking impression at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival on July 5th with the world premiere of 'Kangryeong: Ghost Play'. The film follows 'Ja-young' and her friends as they attempt a real séance out of curiosity while filming a video for a contest, only to encounter unimaginable terror.
Kim Ye-rim has been building her acting portfolio with roles in tvN's 'Drama Stage 2021 – Mint Condition' and KBS1's 'Applause' in 2023. She showcased her potential as an actress in the teen psychological thriller 'Cheongdam International High School', released on global OTT platforms like Netflix and Wavve in 2023, where she played 'Baek Je-na'. Her portrayal of a character with a glamorous exterior but an inner void left a strong impression.

Kim Ye-rim is set to captivate audiences this summer with the release of 'Kangryeong: Ghost Play' on August 6th. In the film, she plays 'Ja-young', the class president of Geisang High School's 3rd year, 5th class, who unexpectedly agrees to film a séance for a video contest. Her solid and serious acting brings to life 'Ja-young's' mysterious emotions, enhancing the chilling immersion and eerie horror unique to 'Kangryeong: Ghost Play'.
'Kangryeong: Ghost Play' will be released nationwide in CGV theaters on August 6th.
