The posthumous film of the late actor Song Jae-rim, titled 'Crash', is set to premiere on January 15, 2025, with a teaser poster now released.

'Crash' is a crime drama based on the true story of a massive cryptocurrency crash that wiped out $50 trillion, shaking the world. The film chronicles the life of a young entrepreneur making irreversible choices, depicting the dark side of startup investments and the reality of young people addicted to stock trading by day and cryptocurrency by night.

In the teaser poster for 'Crash', Song Jae-rim is seen portraying the character Yang Do-hyun, a self-proclaimed business genius and developer of a cryptocurrency called MOMMY.

The film tackles a real-life incident that resulted in numerous victims and is still awaiting final judgment from judicial authorities. It is said to have undergone thorough pre-research and legal consultation based on legal precedents. The project is supported by the Korea Creative Content Agency's New Media Content Production Support.

Director Hyun Hae-ri, known for her critically acclaimed work 'The Woman Who Worked Nine Times' at the Cannes International Drama Festival and her socially conscious documentaries, helms the film. She stated her intention to deliver a realistic yet sharp narrative with elements of black comedy.

The cast of 'Crash' includes Ahn Woo-yeon from dramas 'Jealousy Incarnate', 'Strong Woman Do Bong-soon', and 'Age of Youth 2'; Min Sung-wook from 'Three Bold Siblings' and Disney+ original series 'Casino'; So Hee-jung from 'Miracle Brothers' and 'Kairos'; and Cha Jung-won from the film 'Horror Stories' and dramas 'Lawless Lawyer' and 'She Was Pretty'.

'Crash' is scheduled for release on January 15, 2025.

Song Jae-rim was found deceased at his home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on November 12. According to police, no signs of foul play were found at the scene, and a two-page will was discovered.

Born in 1985, Song Jae-rim began his career as a fashion model before transitioning to acting with the 2009 film 'Actresses'.

He appeared in films such as 'The Hypocrites' and 'The Bait', and dramas including 'Moon Embracing the Sun', 'Flower Boy Ramen Shop', 'Inspiring Generation', 'Goodbye Mr. Black', 'Clean with Passion for Now', 'Cafe Minamdang', and 'The Queen of Wu'. This year, he appeared in the TVING series 'The Queen of Wu'. His upcoming film 'Crash: The Man Who Failed in Business' will be his final work.

Song Jae-rim gained popularity in 2014 on the variety show 'We Got Married', where he was paired with virtual wife Kim So-eun.

He also graced the stage, performing in the play 'Wife' last year and the musical 'The Rose of Versailles' this year.
