Chilling Urban Legend Film 'Wonjeong Villa' Set for December Release
The horror film 'Wonjeong Villa', which delves into urban legends, has confirmed its release for December and unveiled its launch poster.
Following the eerie tales of the world's seven most haunted psychiatric hospitals, South Korea's three most infamous haunted houses, and the ghostly Oksoo Station, 'Wonjeong Villa' is set to premiere in December. The film tells the story of a young man trying to protect his family from unsettling neighbors after illegal flyers are distributed in an old suburban villa, making it a gripping reality horror movie.
'Wonjeong Villa', which sold out all screenings in the Korean Fantastic Feature section at the 28th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, stars actors Lee Hyun-woo and Moon Jung-hee as neighbors in the old villa, promising an intense horror acting showdown. Director Kim Sun-guk, who has honed his skills through numerous short films, is set to deliver heart-pounding terror and madness on screen with 'Wonjeong Villa'.
The launch poster, released alongside the December release confirmation, depicts an old villa that could exist somewhere in the suburbs, exuding an eerie vibe. Among the darkened windows, room 303 stands out with its light, and the ominous red X mark on the weathered exterior captures attention, while the tagline "Never come here" piques curiosity about the events unfolding in this place.
Following in the footsteps of shocking urban legend films like 'Gonjiam', 'Oksoo Station Ghost', and 'Neulbom Garden', 'Wonjeong Villa' will be released in December.
