Child Actor Ki So-yoo Expresses Satisfaction with Psychopath Role at Busan International Film Festival
Child actor Ki So-yoo expressed her satisfaction with playing a psychopath role.
On the afternoon of the 4th, a stage greeting and open talk were held at the outdoor stage of the Busan Cinema Center. The outdoor stage event for 'Intrusion' was attended by directors Kim Yeo-jung and Lee Jung-chan, along with actors Kwak Sun-young, Kwon Yu-ri, Lee Seol, and Ki So-yoo.
'Intrusion' is a mystery thriller that deals with the disruption and fear faced by Yeong-eun, whose ordinary life is shattered by her daughter So-hyun's bizarre behavior, and Min and Hae-young, who handle lonely death scenes 20 years later.
On this day, Ki So-yoo said, "It was so much fun. Everyone treated me well, so I enjoyed filming," adding, "Playing the psychopath role was fun." Ki So-yoo was born in 2017 and is 7 years old.
Kwak Sun-young shared her thoughts on working with Ki So-yoo as a mother-daughter duo in the film. She said, "I've worked with child actors before, and while all child actors are professional, (Ki) So-yoo stood out with the stamina and mental strength of an adult. We had a tough shoot, but even after a short nap, she immediately switched to actor mode," adding, "I received a lot of help in acting. Thanks to So-yoo, we were able to film well."
The 29th Busan International Film Festival runs for ten days from the 2nd to the 11th at the Busan Cinema Center. The official selection includes 224 films, an increase of 15 from last year's 209. The opening film is Netflix's 'Jeon, Ran,' and the closing film is 'Journey of the Soul.'
