Olympic Silver Medalist Kim Yeji Cast in 'Crush' Spin-off Series of 'Asia'
The spin-off short-form series 'Crush' of the movie 'Asia' features multinational stars from more than seven countries, including the United States and Asia. It weaves together various human stories dealing with racial hatred and discrimination. Kim Yeji, the 2024 Paris Olympic silver medalist, and India's global star Anushka Sen have been cast as killers in the 'Asia' spin-off short-form series.
Ryu Min-guk, CEO of Kim Yeji's agency, actor casting platform Plfil, said, "Kim Yeji is thrilled and excited to debut as an attractive killer alongside world-renowned actors in the spin-off project of the global large-scale project movie 'Asia' by Asia Lab. It will be a great gift to fans worldwide once it is released."
Anushka Sen, a top star actress from India who started as a child actor, is also a powerful mega influencer with 40 million followers on Instagram. She is currently enjoying popularity both in India and abroad as the lead in India's Amazon Prime's top-rated drama series. Additionally, she is part of Asia Lab's global management based in Korea and will serve as the Korean Tourism Ambassador in 2024, connecting the cultures, arts, and entertainment of Korea and India. She has also contributed to the Hallyu boom in India.
Anushka Sen, who also appears as a killer in the movie 'Asia', will showcase her improved acting and action skills in this film, presenting a new side to her global fans.
