'Mission Cross' starring Hwang Jung-min and Yeom Jeong-ah ranked #1 globally in 3 days after its release
Netflix's film 'Cross' has risen to the top of the Netflix Global TOP 10 Movies (Non-English) category, and has released unreleased footage and behind-the-scenes stills thanks to the worldwide interest.
'Cross' is an entertainment action film that depicts the story of a former agent, Kang-moo, who lives as a veteran housewife while hiding his past from his wife, and Mi-seon, an ace of the violent crimes investigation team who misunderstands her husband's secret and gets caught up in a huge incident. Since its release on August 9, it has recorded 4.5 million viewers (the calculation is the viewing time divided by the total running time of the film) in just 3 days, rising to first place in the Global TOP 10 Movies (Non-English) category. It has also proven its global popularity by making it to the TOP 10 lists in a total of 11 countries including Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Kenya.
'Cross', which contains adrenaline-pumping action and nonstop hilarious comedy, is receiving favorable reviews from domestic and international media and viewers as a movie that can be easily and lightly watched on a hot summer day. The previously unreleased stills and behind-the-scenes stills released together give a glimpse into the filming set filled with the actors' passion and harmonious teamwork. The action scenes of former agent Kang-moo (Hwang Jung-min) and ace detective Mi-sun (Yeom Jung-ah), as well as the car chase action of the two in an empty environment vehicle, stimulate interest by showing the contrasting charms of Hwang Jung-min and Yeom Jung-ah, who are completely immersed in their characters. Not only the two actors, but also Jeon Hye-jin who showed a unique charisma, Kim Joo-hun and Kim Jun-han who left a distinct impression as Kang Moo's colleagues, and Kang Soo-dae members Jung Man-sik, Lee Ho-cheol, and Cha Rae-hyung who showed fantastic tiki-taka, are full of hot passion and cheerful laughter. Just like the work, the atmosphere on set is full of fantastic crosses. The stills of Jonathan who made a surprise appearance in the epilogue and became a hot topic also catch the eye. Jonathan's special appearance, which was realized thanks to Hwang Jung-min's idea, not only brings joy to the viewers, but also acts as another humorous code reminiscent of the Netflix series 'Suriname', making them laugh out loud until the end.
'Cross' is streaming on Netflix.
