Yeom Jeong-ah revealed how she came to take the path of becoming a ‘Sikhye craftsman.’

On the 12th, I met actress Yeom Jeong-ah, who appeared in the movie 'Cross', at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.

The Netflix film 'Cross' is an entertaining action film that depicts the story of former agent Kang-moo (played by Hwang Jung-min), who lives as a veteran housewife while hiding his past from his wife, and Mi-sun (played by Yeom Jung-ah), an ace detective in the Violent Crimes Investigation Unit who misunderstands her husband's secret and gets caught up in a huge incident. Yeom Jung-ah plays Kang Mi-sun, a detective in the Violent Crimes Investigation Unit who is a former national shooting team member and silver medalist in the Asian Games.

In the drama, Mi-sun receives help from Kang-moo, but in reality, Yeom Jeong-ah is the one who takes care of her husband. Yeom Jeong-ah said, "I take a lot of nutritional supplements. I put mine and my husband's in a medicine bottle and store them. In reality, I am the type to take care of myself like Kang-moo." She continued, "I think nutritional supplements are a big help. I feel that way as I get older. It's been a little over 10 years since I started taking nutritional supplements, but it's different when I take them and when I don't," making everyone laugh with her 'nutritional supplement love' side.

Yeom Jeong-ah recently made a large quantity of shikhye on the tvN entertainment show 'Sister's Farm Direct' and became a hot topic for her appearance as a 'big-handed sister'. She said with a laugh, "Even when I go on 'Farm Direct', if I get a little tired, I take nutritional supplements. The kids say, 'You're throwing your liver away.'"

Yeom Jeong-ah said, "It's been about a year and a half since I started making sikhye," and revealed what led her to make sikhye herself. She said, "My husband likes sikhye, so he bought it all the time. My in-laws used to make it and send it to me. My husband liked it, so I decided to try making it." She continued, "I threw it away a few times. It had fermented too much and had a musty smell. We don't like it with cinnamon, but when I added it, it didn't taste that good. It was a lot of trial and error."

'Cross' was released on Netflix on the 9th. In just two days, it ranked first in five countries including Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, and Japan, and ranked in the TOP 10 in 23 countries around the world including Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. It also ranked 8th in the global movie category.
