The animated film ‘Inside Out 2’ ranked first at the box office for 6 consecutive days.
According to the integrated movie theater ticket network, on the 17th, 'Inside Out 2' mobilized 139,876 people in one day. The cumulative audience number was 2,222,602.
'Inside Out 2' is an animation film about the crisis and adventure that begins again when 13-year-old Riley's peaceful daily life is shattered as new unfamiliar emotions such as anxiety, embarrassment, boredom, and envy appear in the emotional control center in Riley's head. The previous film ‘Inside Out’ (2015) attracted 4.97 million viewers.
Second place was ‘Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga.’ The number of daily viewers is 8,099, and the cumulative number of viewers is 1,537,681.
'Furiosa: The Mad Max Saga' is an action blockbuster depicting the epic journey of Furiosa, who was cruelly thrown into a devastated world 45 years after the collapse of civilization, risking her entire life to return to her hometown.
'Escape', which is scheduled to be released on July 3rd, held a preview that day and attracted audiences, ranking 3rd. The total audience was 6959.
'Escape' depicts the breathless chase that takes place between Gyu-nam (played by Lee Je-hoon), a North Korean soldier who crosses the line between life and death and races towards life on the other side of the barbed wire fence in the demilitarized zone, and Hyeon-sang (played by Koo Kyo-hwan), a North Korean security officer who must stop him.
4th place was ‘Wonderland’ and 5th place was ‘Following’.
As of 8 a.m. on the 18th, 'Inside Out 2' ranked first with 43.9% of real-time reservation rates. The second place in advance reservation rate is ‘Hijack 1971’ (15.8%), and the third place is ‘Escape’ (8.7%).
