Director of 'The Plot' said, "Kang Dong-won has easygoing charm"

Director Lee Yo-seop revealed the story behind the casting of Kang Dong-won for the movie 'The Plot'.

On the 28th, I met director Lee Yo-seop of the movie ‘The Plot’ at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.

'The Plot' is a movie about the story of Yeong-il, a designer who manipulates a commissioned murder into an accidental death, and gets caught up in an unexpected incident.

The main character, Kang Dong-won, plays Yeong-il, a designer who manipulates the contract killings into accidental deaths. Yeongil, who leads the Samkwang Security Team, is called a tin can because no records remain in the world.

Director Lee Yo-seop said of Kang Dong-won, “I thought he was a star and had a unique image.” He continued, “The reason I liked the original work was the protagonist’s dark charm. Kang Dong-won is an actor who makes you think, ‘If this person doesn’t speak, what’s the reason?’ He has a unique atmosphere that explains many things. “He praised. He also said, “There is no director who would not want to work with Kang Dong-won,” and added, “I wondered if there would be an actor who would suit the atmosphere of my work better than Kang Dong-won.”

Director Lee Yo-seop said, "Kang Dong-won is a star and he must have lived a different life than me. So there was a difficult point. 'He must be far from me, right?' “Isn’t he an actor who can create a sense of distance even if he doesn’t do something?” he said of his first impression. Kang Dong-won's MBTI is known as INTJ. Director Lee Yo-seop said, “(Kang Dong-won) is actually T. I’m ENTP, but I thought J was like this.”
