"Ma Dong-seok's appearance in 'Badland Hunters' is the biggest difference"

The Netflix movie 'Badland Hunters' released a production video and a pictorial of directors Ma Dong-seok and Heo Myung-haeng.

'Badland Hunters' is an action blockbuster depicting the final struggle for survival among those living in a ruined world, a lawless place ruled only by power. A production video showing the birth and behind-the-scenes production of 'Badland Hunters' as told directly by Ma Dong-seok and director Heo Myeong-haeng has been released. In addition, after a long period of working together as an actor and martial arts director, a pictorial showing the two people who began working together as an actor and director through 'Badland Hunters' was also released.

The released production video contains a behind-the-scenes look at the production of 'Badland Hunters' directly told by Ma Dong-seok and director Heo Myeong-haeng. Ma Dong-seok and director Heo Myeong-haeng have worked together as actors and martial arts directors for 20 years. Ma Dong-seok expressed his feelings, saying, “I am happy that the work I collaborated with director Myung-haeng Heo will be shown to the world.” Director Heo Myung-haeng said, “The process of discussing the scenario and concept of ‘Badland Hunters’ with actor Ma Dong-seok was very fun.”

Ma Dong-seok and director Heo Myung-haeng also talked about the new action scenes to be shown in 'Badland Hunters'. Ma Dong-seok said, “The process of performing a different action was not easy, but it was a good experience and I enjoyed filming it,” and expressed his efforts to create a new action. Director Heo Myeong-haeng said, “As we focused on Namsan resolving the evil deeds of villains unfolding in a dystopian setting, it seems that rougher actions were created,” predicting stronger and rougher action that will unfold in a post-apocalyptic setting.

Director Heo Myung-haeng said, “We also focused on bringing out the special skills that Ji-wan and Eun-ho have,” and also shared the point of directing action that emphasized the characteristics of each character, including Nam-san, Ji-wan, and Eun-ho. Lastly, director Heo Myung-haeng was confident, “The biggest differentiator of ‘Badland Hunters’ is that actor Ma Dong-seok appears.”

'Badland Hunters' will be released in over 190 countries around the world through Netflix on the 26th.
