'Noryang' ranked first in the Korean film box office on the first weekend of the new year

The movie 'Noryang: Sea of Death' ranked first in the Korean box office on the first weekend of the new year.

According to the integrated movie theater ticket network, 'Noryang: Sea of Death' attracted a cumulative audience of 4,167,359 as of the 7th. With the news that it exceeded 4 million last weekend, it regained the Korean film box office, and also ranked first in the cumulative weekend box office, showing once again that it has a stable audience base.

'Noryang: Sea of Death' was able to confirm the actors' passion for the movie by holding stage greetings in the third week of its release last weekend. It was sold out, with movie enthusiasts called 'Noryangdan', families visiting the movie theater on weekends, and couples filling up the theater. The popularity of the movie, which is growing over time, seems to reflect the audience's support and love for Yi Sun-sin over the past 10 years, leading to 'Roaring Currents', 'Hansan: Appearance of the Dragon', and 'Noryang: The Sea of Death'.

'Noryang: Sea of Death' is a war action movie depicting Admiral Yi Sun-sin's final battle to completely annihilate the Japanese army trying to retreat from Joseon, seven years after the outbreak of the Japanese invasion of Korea.
