The movie 'Noryang: Deadly Sea' attracted 210,000 viewers on its first day of release and ranked first in the daily box office.

According to the Korean Film Council's movie theater ticket integrated computer network, the movie 'Noryang: Deadly Sea' (director Kim Han-min, hereinafter referred to as 'Noryang') ranked first, attracting 216,891 viewers on the 20th, the first day of its release. ‘Noryang’ is recording a cumulative audience of 246,245.

'Noryang' depicts Admiral Yi Sun-sin's final battle to completely annihilate the Japanese army trying to retreat from Joseon, seven years after the outbreak of the Japanese invasions of Korea. This is director Kim's last film following 'Roaring Currents' (2014) and 'Hansan: Emergence of the Dragon' (2022).

The movie 'Spring in Seoul' (directed by Kim Seong-su), which is heading towards the 10 million mark, ranked second with 100,353 viewers on the same day. A total of 9,319,486 people are recorded. Since its release on the 22nd of last month, this movie has been running at the box office without missing a single box office hit until the 19th.

Third place was ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ (directed by James Wan), which was released on the same day as ‘Noryang’ and was seen by 62,451 people. 4th place is ‘Trolls: Band Together’ (directed by Walt Dorn), and 5th place is ‘Monster’ by director Hirokazu Koreeda.
