MOVIE
Intense ‘12.12: THE DAY’ vs. Unique ‘Freddy’s Pizza Place’ vs. Survival ‘The Hunger Games’

'12.12: THE DAY' is a movie depicting the 9 hours of desperate action to prevent the rebellion of the new military forces that occurred in the capital city of Seoul on December 12, 1979. It is directed by Kim Seong-soo and stars Hwang Jung-min, Jung Woo-sung, Lee Seong-min, Park Hae-joon, and Kim Sung-gyun. In addition, Jung Man-sik, Jung Hae-in, and Lee Jun-hyuk are named as special appearances and play the role of scene stealers with their own charm.
Although history is already a spoiler, the movie calmly follows the nine hours of that day. This is a story adapted with director Kim Seong-su's imagination, tracing and showing how important one person's choices are in a critical moment. The movie ends with the victory of the new military regime, as history tells us, but it depicts the process leading up to that outcome in an urgent manner. It is a work that forms an excellent ensemble with the directing power that makes you sweat and the passionate performances of the actors that make you boil.

'Freddy's Pizza Shop' is a survival horror movie that unfolds in the 1980s when Mike, who works as a night guard at Freddy's Pizza Shop, which has long since gone out of business after children go missing, witnesses the bizarre reality of the pizza shop's mascots. Blumhouse, which has established itself as a horror entertainment company with a fresh setting and unique charm, created it based on the popular game of the same name.
Although the response from the existing series fandom is quite good, the level of completion as a horror film itself is not high. Some say it is somewhat obvious or childish. As it was revealed that it was planned to target the series fandom, it seems to be a welcome work for the fandom. It wouldn't be a bad idea to watch it as a family with children in the upper grades of elementary school who like horror films.

A prequel to 'The Hunger Games', 'The Hunger Games: Ballad of the Singing Bird and the Snake' is about 'Snow' serving as a mentor to 'Lucy Gray', a tribute from District 12, in the cruel 'Hunger Games' where only one winner can survive. It is a work depicting an unpredictable survival game that takes place while participating. Francis Lawrence, director of 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire', 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay', and 'The Hunger Games: The Final', took charge of directing again, raising expectations.
It is a work that has many different opinions. There are also likes and dislikes about sequences where actors sing in between songs. Some scenes attract attention as they are depicted more realistically through raw directing without using cutting-edge technologies such as CG. Many audiences responded that the 157-minute running time was not easy.
